Avengers: Endgame returns again in the year 2023 for the remainder of the film after a five-year-jump intended to provide time to showcase how each of the original 6 Avengers' lives changed since Thanos’ victory in the previous film: Tony Stark married Pepper Potts and had a child (Steve Rogers).

Without Infinity War, it might be hard for audiences to really grasp why the remaining Avengers are so down on their luck at the beginning of Endgame, and what is at stake when they face Thanos a second time.

The co-producers did point out that they still try to make it a movie that everyone can enjoy, not just hardcore MCU fans, the movie will feature Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Scarlett Johansson, and many others.

Russo the co-director said that fans should watch the following movies Avengers, Age of Ultron, Captain America, The Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War before Endgame.
