Miss Bold and Beautiful Nigeria – also abbreviated as MBBN – is a pageant organized by the Cherdah Republic with the crucial purpose of representing all Nigerian Ladies that are Thick, Plus Sized, Fat, Chubby, Curvy, and Big.

MBBN can be described as a non-ethnic, non-religious, and non-political entertainment-motivated beauty pageantry aimed strictly at plus-sized girls to showcase the beauty of the plus-sized African Woman to the world.

This pageantry is said to be the first of its kind in Nigeria as no other beauty pageantry has been organized for plus-sized Nigerian women with a nationwide reach.

The current titleholder is Miss, Omorowa Osariemen Precious who represented Edo state. The 2024 edition is likely to hold on November, at Hotel Sylvia, Independence Layout, Enugu with the theme "Unapologethick".

The Plus Size National Pageant was created in early 2018 to bridge the size disparity created by the fashion and entertainment industry in Nigeria.

Cheetah Republic Limited [RC: 1494373] – an entertainment and event managing company incorporated in the Federal Republic of Nigeria – by the Commercial Law Department, Ministry of Trade and Investment in Nigeria established the platform to serve as an avenue where thick, chubby, plus-sized, curvy, and fat girls can seize the opportunity to show the world what they are capable of and to build self-confidence as well as a general sense of worth.

According to Vanguard, this unique pageantry is meant to “celebrate the over 68% of Nigeria’s female populace that is on the plus side of life”.

The company plans to institute a standard pageantry competition that would be strictly for plus-sized models. This competition is to be the “Champions League” of plus-sized modeling in Nigeria and Africa in the nearest future.

It is to be a National Competition that would involve strictly plus-sized girls to showcase the beauty of the plus-sized African Woman to the world.[1] MBBN has been described to be not just a beauty pageant, but an opportunity for young plus-sized ladies to showcase the beauty of the plus-sized Nigerian woman to the world.

The MBBN 2023 beauty pageant is a non-ethnical, non-religious, and non-political entertainment-motivated competition geared towards building a sustainable platform that should serve to eliminate the high level of discrimination plus-sized ladies face in the modeling industry and also to raise a generation of confident, driven, and career-oriented ladies that will help drive the Nigerian entertainment industry to the peak.

The age range to qualify for MBBN is between 18-26 years for contestants. However, contestants that are within the age of 26 during the time of registering for the contest can still participate even if they are above 26 years during the contest.

To be eligible to participate in this competition, Every Intending Participant; must be within the stipulated body sizes of (12-26) and no less than 5’’2 in height, must not be married, must be physically fit and able to carry and control your weight comfortably as there will be a workout in camp, must not be pregnant or a nursing mother.

Every participant must not be less than 5’’2 in height. To participate as a contestant in this competition you must; have paid in full for the contestant form and must have the bank teller or any other valid means of confirmation.

Must be able to carry through with the other requirements of the competition if you are selected for the grand finale (inability to do this will result in disqualification and the runner-up will be used to replace you.

The contestants must submit a headshot and full-length studio picture of you without makeup and in a white singlet and blue jean trousers. Participants stand to be disqualified if any of the following occurs; Credentials are falsified and Some of the terms for participation are not met. If there is any form of unrest or commotion caused by the participant during or after auditions.

Auditions for MBBN 2023 hold across different cities within the six (6) Geopolitical zones of the country as the board deems fit. • South East- Enugu, Awka, Owerri • South West- Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta • South-South – Asaba, Port Harcourt, Calabar • North- Abuja

The first runner up and the third miss bold and beautiful Nigeria culture is, Miss, Nzimako Yadera, and the second runner-up and the third miss bold and beautiful Nigeria elegance is Miss, Compton Brenda.
