Obafemi Owode Local Government is one of the 20 LGA in Ogun State with its administrative headquarters in the town of Owode Egba and is made up of about 1,204 towns and villages with a total land mass of 104,787.07 hectares of largely agricultural land.
This local government is richly blessed in the areas of agriculture as they are have fertile land suitable for the cultivation of food crops which includes cassava, rice, maize, tomatoes, cococyam, plaintain, maize, kolanut, sugarcane and vegetables that is why they are being known for cultivation of those food crops in large quantities and cash crops which includes palm oil and cocoa.
The inhabitants of Obafemi Owode local government area are mostly farmers and some who engage themselves in livestock and fishing.
