Delta State Ministry of Environment is charged with the obligation of developing and creating environmental policies, environmental protection and control, environmental technology including efficient implementation of research and development.

Delta State Ministry of Finance is responsible for the management and control of all finances of the State Government.

Delta State Ministry of Health is charged with responsibility of handling medical services, pharmaceutical services, nursing services, training and also tasked with the duty of primary health care and disease control.

Delta State Ministry of Higher Education is a charged with responsibility of development of higher education in the State.

Delta State Ministry of Housing is charged with the responsibilities of housing, property development and management.

Delta State Ministry of Information is charged with the responsibility of information dissemination and also handles the daily issuance of press releases concerning Delta state ministries, extra ministerial departments and parastatals.

Delta State Ministry of Justice is mandated with both constitutional and General judiciary functions.

Delta State Ministry of Poverty Alleviation is charged with responsibilities of developing policies on economic empowerment and sustainable programmes that would lead to self-employment and economic self-reliance.

Delta State Ministry of Special Duties (Special Infrastructure) is charged with the responsiblity of initiating policies on development of infrastructure in the State.

Delta State Ministry of Transportation is in charge of transportation matters in the State.

Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs, Community & Social Dev. is tasked with the responsibility of community development, child development, social welfare, rehabilitation, management and supervision of remand homes and women affairs.

Delta State Ministry of Works is charged with the responsibility of public works, construction and maintenance of State Government urban and rural roads, bridges and drainage.

Delta State Special Duties Youth Affairs is responsible for meaningful development policies on empowerment of the youths in State.

Delta State Ministry of Lands, Survey & Urban Development is responsible for all forms of land policies within the state.
