Oyo State Local Government Areas

Afijio Local Government Area headquarters is in the town of Jobele, the council area comprises of the district and villages of Awe, Akinmoorin, Alapadi, Anfelerin, Bali, Basi,Fiditi, Ilora, Imini, Jobele, Iware, Iluaje, Oluwatedo and Ojutaye among others.

Akinyele Local Government Area is located in Moniya, comprising of the district and villages of Ikereku, Iroko, Moniya, Idi, Ori, Ileba, Salako, Togiri, Anisere, Asani, Ejitolu, Elewintan, Folarin, Idi-Odan, Mele, Molarere, Okegbemi, Ojerinde, Olode, etc.

Atiba Local Government Area is located in the town of Ofa Meta, comprising the towns, wards and villages of Agunpopo, Aremo, Ashipa, Bashorun, Aaatan, Abolupe, Afonja, Agbaa, Agbaakin, Agbaka, Agbalowo-Asa, Agberinde, Ajalaruru,Ajegunle, Ajikobi & others.

Atisbo Local Government Area is located in Tede, Oyo State and is made up of several towns and villages which include Ago Are, Irawo, Sabe, Tede, Baasi, Ofiki, and Owo.

Egbeda doubles as the headquarters and a Local Government Area in Oyo state, comprising of many district and villages of Ayede /Alugbo, Egbeda, Erunmu, Olodo / Kumapayi, Osegere, Owobaale / Kasumu, Adeyadi, Alagbo, Ayede, Buramo, Fatade, Fayo & others.

Ibadan North is a town and a Local Government Area in Oyo State headquartered in Agodi which is the notable town in the area, comprising the subdivision of the wards which include Ward I N2, Ward Ii,N3, Ward Iii, N4, Ward Iv, N5a,Ward Ix,(N6b Part I) etc.

Ibadan North East Local Government Area is located in IDi-Ape Iwo road and the council area comprises of the districts of Orita Bashorun, Iyaganku GRA, Iwo road, Total Garden Area, and Monatan.

Ibadan Northwest Local Government Area is located in Onikere, Oyo State, consisting the major towns of Onireke, Ayeye, Dugbe, Inalnde, Ologuneru & many other villages.

Ibadan South East local government area is one of the serving LGAs in the state with its administrative headquarters located in Mapo town comprising the major districts of Mapo and 12 wards.

Ibadan South West Local Government Area is headquartered in Aleshinloye town of Oyo state, consisting the major districts of Awodife, Bode Oluyole, Osi, Aleshinloye and 11 wards.

Ibarapa Central Local Government Area is headquartered in Igbo Ora town, consisting the towns and villages of Sango, Panu, Sango Odo, Sangote, Sobaloju, Sunmirire, Temidire-Idiope, Lanlate, Alapa, Igbodudu, Itabo, Oluwo, Olori, Olokenoji, Okolo & others.

Ibarapa East Local Government Area which is headquartered in Eruwa consists of the district and wards of Aborerin, Anko, Isaba, Isale, Togun, Itabo, New Eruwa, Oke -Oba, Oke Otun, Oke-Imale, Lanlate and Sango.

Ibarapa North Local Government Area has its headquarters situated in the town of Ayete, the area council consists of the villages and district of Igangan, Tapa, AgunOjekunle, Ajelanwa, Akowe, Alagbaa, Alapala, Apagbo, Elewure, Gbodiko, Gboko, Iki etc.

Ido Local Government Area headquarter is located in Ido town and the area council comprises of the district and villages of Olonwe, Oloode, Omojoro, Onigbinde, Onikonko, Onisago, Opaeye, Owolabi, Oyawole, Pakuru, Tokan,Yidi Aba Emo,Aba Oke, Adelogun etc.

Irepo Local Government Area is headquartered in Kisi town with the district and villages of Agoro, Ajagunna, Ikolaba, Kisi, Alagbon, Alegongo, Amuda Aro, Apata, Arogbe, Atipa, Ayifo, Ayola, Baale, Ajila, Baba Ilorin, Barunganma,Budo Ibadan, Budo Abu etc.

Iseyin is among 33 Local Government Areas of the state headquartered in Iseyin, consisting the towns and villages of Ado Awaye, Osogun Aagba, Aba Nla, Aba Tapa, Abapan, Abidioki, Aboriso, Abule Nla,Abule Oloola,Adeagbo, Adegbola, Adekola & others.

Itesiwaju Local Government Area headquarters is located in the town of Otu, comprising the district and villages of Ariyo, Aroje, Ayodele, Baba-Sango, Balelayo, Elekuku, Babaode, Igbojaiye, Ipapo, Komu, Okaka, Oke-Amu, Otu, Owode and Ipapo among others.

Iwajowa Local Government Area is headquartered in Iwere Ile, with the district and villages of Aiyegun, Idiko,Ago, Itasa, Ayetoroile, Idiko-Ile, Iganna, Ijio, Ilaji Ile, Aiyegun Border Area, Oha, Wasinmi,Aba Akinsapon, Aba Ayetoro-Ile, Aba, etc.

Kajola Local Government Area is located in Okeho, and the council area comprises of villages and towns of Ilero, Ayetoro-oke, Isemi Ile, Iwere-oke, Ilaji-oke, Ado-Awaye, Akinwumi, Osoogun, Ekunle, Faramora, Ijemba, Oke-Ola,Oke-Oja, Isalu, Koso and others.

Lagelu Local Government Area headquarters is sited in the town of Iyana Offa, the council areas consist towns and villages of lalupon, Lagun, Monatan, Ofa, Ejioku, Oyedeji, Kelebe, Sagbe, Elegbaada,Olowode,Wofun, Ogburo, Kutayi, Apatere,Olorunda & others.

Ogbomoso North Local Government Area is one of the urban area local governments in Oyo state headquartered in Kinnira town, consisting the wards and districts of Aaje Ogunbado,Oke Agbede, Abogunde, Aguodo, Masifa,Isale Afon, Isale Alaasa,Isale & Ora/Saja.

Ogbomoso South Local Government Area is located in Arowomole with the areas council comprising of towns and villages of Idi- igba, Gaa- Lagbedu, Kajola, Kowe, Oke- Ola, Adeoye, Onidewure, Molete, Arowomole, Sanuaje, Obandi, Ijeru, Ayegun, Oke Alapata etc.

Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area's headquarters is in Ajaawa town, the council area comprises of the villages and district of Bode Osi, Alagbon, Elepo, Idi Oro, Jagun, Molosayowo, Olowo, Paku, Odan, Ikire Ile/Iwara, Alaro, Ille-Ogo, Adunmode, Aguntan etc.

Olorunsogo Local Government Area is located in Igbetti, Oyo State consisting the district and wards which include Aboke, Aboyun Ogun,Elerugba,Elehinke, Sagbo,Aperu,Ikolaba/Obadimo, Onigbeti, Saagbon, Agoro,Santo, Onigbeti, Agbeni, OpaOgunniyi, Seriki etc.

Oluyole is a Local Government Area of Oyo state headquartered in Idi-Ayunre, consisting the wards & villages of of Ekefa, Seko, Ayegun, Idi-Iroko,Ikereku, Idi-Osan, Egbeda-Atuba, Muslim Ogbere, Odo-Ona, Nla, Okanhinde, Latunde, Olomi/Olunde and others.

Ona Ara Local Government Area headquarters is located in Akanran, the council area is made up of the wards and communities of Akanran, Olorunda, Araromi,Aperin, Badeku, Gbada Efon, Odi Odeyale, Odi Aperin, Ogbere, Ogbere, Tioya, Ojoku/Ajia and others.

Oorelope Local Government Area headquarters is located in Igboho, the council area consists of two major district and villages of Igboho township, Aba-Woru, Aba-Yekini, Abo-Mango, Aboni-Ayo, Abule-Soro, Adefi, Adenko, Adeta, Afun, Agunla, Ahoro-Adan etc.

Orire Local Government Area is one of the serving LGAs of the state comprising the towns and villages of Ikoyi-Ile, Oolo, Abaja, Abeabaja, Acute, Afekulu, Afun, Afun,Ile, Afun-Iju, Agbeni, Agidi, Ago Fulani, Aiyetoro,Ajegunle,Gbola & Ajibowu among others.

Oyo East Local Government Area is headquartered in Kosobo, Oyo State and has the district and wards of Agboye, Molete, Ajagba, Alaodi, Modeke, Apaara, Apinni, Balogun, Jabata, Oke Apo, Oluajo, Owode, Araromi that make up the council area.

Oyo West Local Government Area counts as one of the serving LGAs in the state with its administrative headquarters located in Ojongbodu town, comprising the towns of Ajokidero, Akewugberu, Akeetan, Fasola/Soku, Iseke, Isokun, Iyaji Ojongbodu, Opapa etc.

Saki East Local Government is located in Ago-Amodu, Oyo State, the council area consists of 5 district and villages of Ogunlere, Laipapa, Ajandaku, Sango, Wiliki, Yanrin funfun, Arugede, Kaaka, Oje-Owode, Alagolo, Buda Banki, Ago-Amodu,Mangoro, Imodi etc.

Saki West is a Local Government Area in Oyo State comprising the district and villages of Saki, Ekokan, Aba Ilero, Aba Iseyin, Aba Ogbomosho, Aba Seele, Abatade, Abawaye, Agbele, Ago Oluwabi, Agunloye, Aroje, Asabari, Ataye, Bodilu, Budo,Eniola & others.

Surulere Local Government Area headquarters is located in Iresa-Adu and the area consists of the district and towns of Gambari/Baya, Iresadu/Arolu, Iwofin, Oko, Aba Kae, Abewo, Abogunde, Abuduka, Ajase, Alate, Aresejowi, Asileke, Baya Oje, Biro & others.
