Taraba State Local Government Areas

Ardo Kola LGA counts as one of the active sixteen LGAs in the state with its headquarters in Sunkani town with the area council comprising of Alim Gora, Iware, Jauro, Yinu, Lamido, Borno, Mayo Ranewo, Sarkin Dutshe, Sunkani, Tau and Zongon Kombi.

Bali Local Government Area is an active LGA in the state with its headquarters in Bali town, with the council are comprising of Bali, Badokoshi, Gang Dole, Gang Mata, Ganglari, Gangtiba, Suntai, Takalafiya, Kaigama and Maihula.

Donga Local Government Area is one of the area council in the state sited in the town of Donga, Akate, Fada, Gayama, Gindin, Dutshe, Gyatta, Aure, Mararaba, Nyita, Suntai, Asibiti and Bikadarko.

Gashaka Local Government Area is sited in the town of Serti and the area council consists districts of Gashaka, Garbabi, Gangumi, Gayam, Jamtari, Mai-ldanu, Mayo Seibe, Serti A&B and Galumjima.

Gassol Local Government Area is one of the serving area council of the state located in Mutum town and the local government area consists of Mutum Biyu, Gassol Gunduma, Nam Nai, Sabon Gida, Sarkin, Shira, Sendirde, Tutare, Wurojam, Wuryo and Yarima.

Ibi Local Government Area is the adminstrative headquarters as the area council covers Ibi, Dampar, Nwonyo, RimiUku and Sarkin Kudu.

Jalingo Local Government Area is located in the capital city of Jalingo and the area council of the urban LGA covers the urban city of Jalingo, Abbare Yelwa, Barade, Kona, Kachalla Sembe, Majidadi, Mayo Gol, Sarkin Dawaki, Sintaii and Turaki.

Karim Lamido Local Government Area is located in the town of Karim Lamido, as the council area also covers districts of Karim Lamido, Andamin, Bachama, Bikwin, Darofai, Didango, Jen Ardido, Jen Kaigama and Kwanchi.

Kurmi Local Government Area has its adminstrative headquarters in the town of Baissa with the area council consisting of Kurmi Bassia, Abong, Akwento-Boko, Bente-Gelea, Bissaula, Didan, Ashuku-Eneme, Ndaforo-Geanda, Njuwande, Nyido-Tosso and Adobe-Asha.

Lau Local Government Area is sited in the town of Lau and the area council consists of Lau, Kunini .Mayo Lope, Garin Dogo, Garin, Mashi, Lainde, Abbare, Minda and Donbelli.

Sardauna Local Government Area is in the town of Gembu and the area council consists of Gembu a, Gembu b, Kabri, Kakara Magu, Mayo-ndaga, Mbamnga, Ndum-yaji, Nguroje, Titong and Warwar.

Takum Local Government Area is a commercial town doubling as the LGA headquarters with Takun, Bete, Dutshe, Fete, Gahweton, Manya, Rogo, Shibong, Tikari, Yukuben, Bikashibila and Chanchanji communites making up the LGA.

Ussa Local Government Area has its adminstrative headquarters in Lissam town, with the area council consisting districts of Ussa, Lissam, Kpambo, Lumbu, Rufu, Bika, Fikyu, Kwambai, Jenuwa, Kwesati, Lufu, Liji, Tati, Shibung and Acha.

Wakuri Local Government Area is a town and also a LGA headquarters with the districts of Wukari, Avyi, Matar-Fada, Gidan-Idi, Tsokundi, Nwokyo, Rafin-Kada, Chonku, Kente, Chinka, Jibu, Assa, Bantaje, Arufu and Akwana.

Yorro LGA is one of the serving 16 local government areas in the state and has its headquarters in the town of Kpantisawa, among other communities that made it up are Bikassa, Nyaja, Pantisawa, Pupule and Sumbu.

Zing LGA is located in Zing Town and the council area covers the districts of Zing, Bubong, Lamma, Monkin, Yakoko, Dinding and Bitako.
